North Korean long-distance runner Kim Mi Gyong took the first place with a time of 2h 36m 32s in the female category of the 32nd Macau International Marathon, which kicked off at Macau Stadium on Sunday at 5 am.

Kim represented her country at the 2007 Asian Athletics Championships when she was fifteen years old, and secured a bronze medal double in the 5000 meters and 10,000 meters events.

Kim made her marathon début in 2011 with her run earning her a place on the North Korean team for the 2012 Summer Olympics, where she placed 74th overall in the
