The captain of a North Korean fishing boat has been convicted of illegal squid fishing in Russian waters by a Nahodka City court, the Voice of Russia reported on November 21.

The North Korean fishing boat trespassed into Russia’s economic zone between August 9 to 13 and caught over 5,000 squids of a value of around $1200, the Voice of Russia said, quoting an official November 20 court dispatch.
