Accusations fly over failed trip to recover Korean War vet’s remains

Delegation and fixer accuse one another of offensive behavior during July trip

The July trip by American Korean War veterans to recover the body of a dead friend in North Korea failed because of the poor organization and outlandish behavior of the trip organizer, multiple delegation sources told NK News.

But the organizer, Kim Chayon, responded by saying that the trip was hampered by the “ignorance and hubris” of the American delegation, and that North Korean hosts were offended by comments made by the group.
