Hagel: No room for ‘business as usual’ with North Korea

U.S. Defense head meets with S. Korean, Japanese and Australian counterparts at Singapore security summit

SEOUL – U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel reiterated on Saturday his nation's stance against North Korea's nuclear weapons program and underlined the importance of China's participation in talks with North Korea.

"The United States will not stand by while North Korea seeks to develop a nuclear-armed missile that can target the United States," Hagel said, speaking at the Asia Security Summit in Singapore.
