Back to Six-party talks: The diplomatic soap opera continues

"There is no doubt North Korea’s decision to re-enter the long scorned Six-party talks was related to China"

SEOUL – The recent trip to China of Vice Marshal Choe Ryong Hae, the head of the Korean People’s Army General Political Department, has brought with it some unexpected results.

The Chinese side at present seems to see this as a significant diplomatic success because the Six-party talks have always been China’s pet project.
