The jury’s still out on whether North Korea is lying when it says it “successfully” tested its largest-ever intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on March 24.

As of Monday, Tokyo was reportedly sticking to its assessment that Pyongyang launched its new Hwasong-17 ICBM that day, as DPRK state media claimed while showing footage of the missile being launched on a previous day — likely on March 16 when a missile exploded in failure over the skies of Pyongyang. 

But sources familiar with intelligence gathering efforts have told NK Pro that North Korea’s stated missile claims are dubious
