The UN committee in charge of sanctions on North Korea granted an extension to a U.S. Christian aid organization’s previous sanctions exemption last week after the NGO failed to win complementary approval from the U.S. government.
Both the original exemption and new extension granted on December 18 are for a project from Love North Korea Ministries (LNKM) “aimed at improving access to clean drinking water in the Rason region.”
