Almost 100 North Korean companies participated in Pyongyang’s first springtime international trade fair in six years, an event that was drastically scaled down after authorities’ last-minute decision to cancel all foreign exhibitors’ visas.

The 23rd Pyongyang Spring International Trade Fair held from May 12 to 16 saw products from “more than 110” companies from across the world on display at the North Korean capital’s Central Youth Hall, according to state media.

As a result of foreign companies’ exclusion, the event featured at least 94 North Korean firms, according to a list of exhibitors obtained by NK Pro.[/p
