Recent photos reveal new trends in national ideology
A country’s ideology does not change dramatically overnight, especially in a country like North Korea. Nevertheless, it does shift in tone over time.
These changes are not always reflected in open, government-published sources for foreign audiences, but more often appear on the streets of major North Korean cities.
During a visit to the DPRK in April this year, NK Pro observed that the slogans of the previous autumn, which had emphasized local flood-recovery efforts, had been replaced with slogans praising Kim Jong Un’s “monolithic” leadership and the unity of the country under his
