North Korean cereal imports continued to fall in October
But imports of other food groups were much higher than in previous years
North Korean imports of cereals continued to fall in October, Chinese trade figures show, reversing a trend which saw relatively high shipments on the back of a drought through the summer months.
The most recent figures released by China’s General Administration of Customs collated by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) show the North’s cereal imports dropping to $653,744 in value in October from more than double the previous month.
