North Korea is building a large complex in Pyongyang that could serve as a new satellite communication station, according to NK Pro analysis of satellite imagery.

Maxar and Planet Labs imagery shows that the complex features 17 circular concrete structures measuring 23 to 33 feet (7 to 10 meters) in diameter, possibly as bases for satellite dishes or antennas. 

The site is located next to the Pyongyang Earth Station (국제위성통신국; directly translated as International Satellite Telecommunication Station), a facility built in the mid 1980s that is used for sending and receiving signals from geostationary communications satellites.
