In Pyongyang, KKG constructing riverside “entertainment complex”
30-floor building adjacent to Taedonggang backed by burgeoning conglomerate
North Korean conglomerate the Korea Kumgang Group (KKG) is building an “entertainment complex” in a central location next to the Taedong River, photos and information gathered from sources inside the DPRK suggests.
Blueprints seen by NK Pro at the site show the 30-floor “Kumgang-won” building being raised immediately adjacent to what 38 North recently described as being the DPRK’s Internet Communication Bureau headquarters.
The bottom square-shaped section of the building will contain service areas and shops, while the top tower section will contain apartments and residences, a close-up detail of the plan said.
