The customs agency from the Chinese border city of Dandong captured a freight truck smuggling goods into North Korea earlier this year and seized various machines while allowing household goods to pass.

The truck was transporting 15 types of smuggled goods — including dehumidifiers, frying pans, men's shoes, supplements and cosmetics — hidden behind its declared cargo in late June, according to a notice the following month from Dalian Customs, the agency overseeing Dandong Customs.
