S. Korean business group wants office in N.Korea

Office in Pyongyang hopes to help unification via economic cooperation

South Korea’s Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), a business organization of the country’s most powerful conglomerates, is hoping to open a branch office in Pyongyang, the Joongang Daily reported today.

The group’s goal is to have representatives in the North Korean capital who can act as mediators and consult South Korean companies looking to make inroads into the DPRK.
