S. Korean opposition leader shows his support for North Korean human rights law

Despite disputes, activist says law has a good chance to finally pass

SEOUL — The leader of the main South Korean opposition party on Wednesday expressed support for the North Korean human rights law pending in the National Assembly.

Rep. Moon Jae-in of the New Politics Alliance for Democracy said that the party needs a "forward-looking" approach to the North Korean human rights law in a closed-door session with party leadership on Wednesday, the Yonhap News Agency reported.
