As tensions rise between the two Koreas over leaflet launches, some activists say they will continue to launch balloons without press coverage.

The last reported leaflet launch was carried out on Friday. North Korea has censured South Korea for not stopping the launches, which it calls a roadblock to improved relations.

“I’ve given no thought to stopping the launches of leaflets into North Korea, but in consideration of the safety of residents near the border will conduct the launches without press coverage,” Park Sang-hak, head of Fighters for a Free North Korea, told Radio Free Asia on Monday.

Park’s group
