North Korea refutes religious oppression claims

North Korea publish article and video denying claims of religious oppression and persecution

North Korea has responded angrily to a report by the U.S. State Department criticizing the DPRK for its lack of religious freedom, in an article published in KCNA on Wednesday.

In an article on the Korea Central News Agency (KCNA), North Korea criticized the 2013 International Religious Freedom Report's categorization of the DPRK as a “country of special concern”, claiming the report's findings are hypocritical and part of an aggressive U.S. policy against North Korea.
