In rare presentation, North Korea publicizes State budget details

North Korea unveils its 2013 and 2014 budgets, albeit lacking in concrete detail.

North Korea’s Minister of Finance publicly delivered a rare report on North Korea’s 2013 state budget at the First Session of the 13th Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA), state media reported on Wednesday.

According to a report presented by Deputy Choe Kwang Jin , North Korea’s economic performance in 2013 was positive, such that the budgetary revenue for 2014 will see an increase of 4.3% on the previous year. In particular, Choe said that North Korea’s policy of simultaneous economic and nuclear development had been “successfully implemented.”
