U.S. President Barack Obama and a number of American soldiers have been shown covered in flames in a new warning video published online by North Korea’s Uriminzokkiri network. The short video also includes a video mockup of the nations third nuclear test, likely stolen from another news broadcaster.

The new video comes on the heels of North Korea’s third nuclear test last week and is similar to a video released two weeks ago that showed a North Korea citizen dreaming about the destruction of the U.S.
In the latest video, heroic music plays as messages are displayed over flaming pictures of U.S. soldiers and President Barack Obama. The video narrative accuses the U.S. of being a “bully…that has no respect to others nor appreciation of reality…”
Much of the video has a triumphant tone when it comes to the North Korea – U.S. relationship, in some ways thanking the U.S. for a hostile stance that “helped North Korea become one of the world’s strongest military power states.” It goes on to say that “the United States has practically guided North Korea towards nuclear testing and therefore needs to be considered as an American virtue.”
The video ends with simulated footage of North Korea’s third nuclear test. But a close look at the picture (above) shows blurred out areas where TV network logos and news alerts might be displayed, suggesting the video montage was likely ‘borrowed’ from a news report about the nuclear test. This would be consistent with the last similar Uriminzokkiri video using footage from an Activision video game to illustrate war in New York City.
During the final segment the narrative says that North Korea claimed its nuclear program is a “deterrent that protects our sovereignty” and a “practical countermeasure for North’s safety…” But it ends with a menacing warning that “time is no longer on the side of the U.S.” In conjunction with the North’s successful long-range rocket test in December, North Korea could be referring to the time in the future when it is able to place a nuclear warhead on a rocket and threaten the U.S. mainland.
Uriminzokkiri is one part of the North Korean propaganda apparatus, and is notable for its role on social media, which includes a Twitter, Facebook, Flickr and YouTube site. On top of the outlandish video released two weeks ago, it has produced numerous crude video games that allow users to perform violent acts against top South Korean and U.S. politicians.

North Korea has succeeded in proceeding with this nuclear test despite the United States’ increasingly unfair bully activities against North Korea. That United States that has no respect to others nor appreciation to equality…
It is not incorrect to state that the United States strong hostility policy and endless violence toward North Korea in the past 70 years has helped North Korea become one of the world’s strongest military power states.
Words spoken by the United States, a country that uses the law of jungle as the law of survival for fitness, is meaningless. As a result, North Korea’s high level nuclear test conducted against American imperialist invaders is a nuclear deterrent that protects our sovereignty.
Thus, the United States has practically guided North Korea towards nuclear testing and therefore needs to be considered as an American virtue.
North Korea’s third underground nuclear test! Let it be known once more that this is strictly our practical counter-measure for North’s safety and to protect its sovereignty from the aggressors. It is also a solemn warning that time is no longer on the side of the United States.
The people are watching. America should answer.
