The Red Cross of North Korea has rejected its South Korean counterpart’s offer for humanitarian aid.

The liaison for the DPRK Red Cross Society at Panmunjom refused to receive a notice from the South Korean Red Cross, which had offered 25 tons of milk powder for North Korean children on Wednesday.

“(The liaison) didn’t specify any reason,” the Republic of Korea National Red Cross spokesperson told NK News.

The two Red Cross organizations usually communicate through Panmunjom, calling the other before sending telecommunication messages.
