The United Nations Security Council has condemned North Korea’s ongoing short range missile launches, in a statement at the United Nations in New York on Thursday.

The Council’s July President, Rwandan U.N. Ambassador Eugene Gasana said that the council was agreed that the DPRK’s recent volleys were a breach of United Nations sanctions.

“The members of the Security Council condemned these launches as violations of Security Council resolutions, 1718 (2006), 1874 (2009), 2087 (2013) and 2094 (2013),” he said, “and urged the DPRK to fully comply with the relevant Security Council resolutions”.
