North Korean projectile debris fell in or near Pyongyang after a failed test on Wednesday morning, images seen by NK News shows and multiple witnesses confirmed.
The photos appear to confirm a South Korean military statement that claimed Pyongyang tried and failed to launch a “projectile” around 9:30 a.m. KST, with the test failing shortly after launch. The ROK military told NK News later in the day that the projectile was a ballistic missile that exploded at an altitude of less than 20 kilometers (about 12.4 miles).
