The U.S. and South Korea have not yet determined the “schedule, scale and means” of their upcoming joint drills and the two allies will make a decision on it together, South Korea’s defense ministry spokesperson Boo Seung-chan said on Monday.
The comments come after the North Korean leader’s sister Kim Yo Jong implied on Sunday that the “hostile” summer exercises should be canceled and that progress on inter-Korean relations depends on whether the drills go ahead or not.
