North Korea’s main newspaper now partially accessible from South Korea

South Korea’s unification ministry publishes database of DPRK newspaper content online, though most content is missing

South Koreans can now freely conduct searches on article titles published by the North’s Rodong Sinmun newspaper, with more DPRK state media outlets set to be added to the database in the future. 

South Korea’s Ministry of Unification (MOU) published an interactive database of hundreds of thousands of North Korean newspaper article titles online Friday, despite laws which have long prevented anyone in South Korea from easily accessing DPRK media sites.
