Venezuela contradicts its own president and denies North Korean military deal

Draft U.N. report says that Venezuela denies striking any deal with the DPRK, going against President Maduro’s own words

Venezuela denied its own president’s claims that it signed a military and technology deal with North Korea last year, according to a new and unpublished U.N. Panel of Experts report seen by NK News.

The Venezuelan government penned a letter to the U.N. stating that “no single agreement” exists with North Korea, despite the fact that President Nicolás Maduro claimed that one was signed in Sept. 2019 while speaking to reporters during a press conference.
