South Korea plans to pour hundreds of thousands of dollars into a new video conference facility specifically designed for inter-Korean video talks in the next few months.
On Tuesday, the South Korean government started looking for construction companies to build the room by releasing a recruitment notice. The video conferencing room will cost 398 million Korean won ($361,945) to build and will be added to the inter-Korean dialogue headquarters in the Jongno district of Seoul. It’s expected to be finished by the end of April 2021, a Ministry of Unification official told NK News.
