Pompeo: DPRK-US diplomacy ‘absolutely’ successful despite North Korea’s new ICBM

Pompeo points to lack of long-range North Korean missile testing as an indicator of success

Diplomacy between North Korea and the United States has proven itself to be "absolutely" successful despite Pyongyang's showboating of new missile and weapons-related technology at its recent military parade, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Wednesday.

Pompeo acknowledged the new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) that North Korea rolled out on Oct. 10, but nevertheless pointed out that North Korea has not yet tested the weapon.
