U.S. objectives remain the same whoever leads North Korea, Pompeo says

Comments come amid a storm of media speculation over Kim Jong Un's health

The U.S.'s goal of denuclearization and normalization of ties with North Korea will remain unchanged regardless of who is running the country, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Wednesday, amid unconfirmed reports suggesting leader Kim Jong Un is experiencing health issues.

Speaking with Fox News's Laura Ingraham, the Secretary of State was asked how comfortable he would be making a deal with Kim Yo Jong, the sister of Kim Jong Un and seen to be a favorite to take over the leadership should her brother be incapacitated.
