North Korean missile developments not “grave threat” to South, official says

National Security Adviser Chung Eui-yong stresses South's "superior" defense technology following MLRS test by the North

North Korea’s newest missile capabilities do not appear to pose “very grave threats” to the South's national security, director of the presidential National Security Office (NSO) Chung Eui-yong said Friday.

Speaking at the National Assembly a day after the DPRK test-fired a new multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), Chung said South Korea was well-equipped to respond to provocations from the North.
