New ferry route between N. Korea, Vladivostok starts operations

Though vessel still appears in Wonsan on ship tracking systems

North Korea began operation of a ferry route between the country's Rason port and Vladivostok in the Russian Far East, according to an article from the state-owned Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) published on Wednesday.

The brief article claimed the route will be administered by "common efforts" between the two countries. A previous report from the Tokyo-based Nikkei said a St Petersburg-based company will operate the North Korean-owned Mangyongbong 92 ferry and run six trips a month.
