N. Korea attempts missile launch, fails: ROK JCS

Test comes on President Trump's 100th day in the Oval Office

North Korea attempted a ballistic missile launch from South Pyongan Province on Saturday morning at 5.30 AM (KST), but the test failed, according to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (ROK JCS).

The ballistic missile reportedly exploded in midair but was headed northeast prior to the failure. It was launched from a Transporter Erector Launcher (TEL).
