North Korea’s Air Koryo selling tobacco, soft drinks: photos

Airline continues business diversification through entry into consumer goods sector

North Korea's state airline Air Koryo has entered the tobacco and soft drinks markets, photos recently provided to NK News show, continuing the brand's expansion of the range of services and products it provides beyond the aviation sector.

Photos show that Air Koryo, which was recently sanctioned by both the U.S. and South Korea in response to Pyongyang's nuclear and missile programs, is building upon a diversification first observed when the airline launched a domestic taxi service in 2015.
