North Korean hedgehog cartoon a metaphor for nuclear strength

Video was also released in 2005 following Pyongyang's declaration of nuclear capability

North Korea's state-run outlet Uriminzokkiri re-released the video short The Hedgehog’s Thorn Spear on Sunday, a video it seemingly releases at times when it seeks to justify its nuclear program.

The animated clip takes place in a forest where the many kinds of animals have gathered together to witness a strength contest between a bear and wild boar. A huge tiger, towering over even the bear, suddenly appears and disrupts the competition, taking the gold medal the contest winner was supposed to receive.
