Ministry of Unification reforms financial assistance model for N. Korea

MOU overhauls way it will release Inter-Korean Cooperation Fund allocations

Seoul's Ministry of Unification (MOU) said Monday it would reform the way Inter-Korean Cooperation Fund allocations would be made, in order to support a greater diversity of projects inside North Korea.

The fund, which was established in 1990, is designed to promote inter-Korean exchange in the fields of culture, academia, sports, the economy and trade.
