MoU gives Kim Dae-jung’s widow its blessing to visit North

Officials to visit Kaesong this week to set schedule; meeting with N.Korean leader may happen by August 15

South Korea's Ministry of Unification (MoU) approved an application by five officials from the Kim Dae-jung Peace Center to visit North Korea for the purpose of coordinating the schedule of Lee Hui-ho's visit to the North.

DPRK leader Kim Jong Un invited Lee, the former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung’s widow, to visit in winter 2014. Her visit was cancelled twice, once because of her health, and later North postponed it.
