Former South Korean Prime Minister Kim Hwang-sik said on March 25 he is hopeful that the North Korean cheerleading squad will attend the Gwangju Summer Universiade, and hopes for a torch relay spanning the Korean peninsula.
Kim, who is also the co-president of the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade Organizing Committee added he also supported a joint North-South Korea team.
