North Korea reports progress in modernizing domestic railway

Domestic media touts developments despite ongoing concerns over condition of existing railways

North Korea said on Monday that it is making progress on ongoing projects to modernize the country’s railway infrastructure.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), paraphrasing an official from the Ministry of Railways, listed several alleged advances made in 2014 as well as planned developments for 2015.
