An office for cyber security will be established in South Korea’s Blue House to more effectively respond to the growing threat posed by North Korea’s hacking attempts, South Korean media reported Tuesday.
The new organization was proposed by the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs, and was passed at a meeting of Blue House Cabinet members earlier in the day. It is expected to “strengthen cyber security capabilities,” Blue House spokesman Min Kyung-wook said at press briefing.
