North Korea yet to miniaturize nuclear warhead: Seoul Defense Ministry

Defense Ministry spokesperson also says no sign of immanent fourth nuclear test

North Korea hasn’t succeed in miniaturizing a nuclear warhead, which is necessary to producing working nuclear ballistic missiles, a South Korean defense ministry spokesperson said on February 26.

Answering a journalist’s question on the ministry’s view on recent reports on North Korea’s nuclear capability, Kim Min-seok, the spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense, said that North Korea doesn’t seem to have achieved the necessary miniaturization technology, in a regular press conference on Thursday.
