South Korea to fund UN census on North Korea

Ministry of Unification earmark $1.3 million for the project, with a further $2.9 million for joint dictionary

South Korea will help fund a UN census program on North Korea by donating $1.3 million to the project, Unification Minister Ryoo Kihl Jae announced at a meeting of the South and North Exchange and Cooperation Council on January 30.

The money will go the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), where it will be used to update a population census on North Korea.
