State media have reported that renovations have been completed on North Korea’s massive May Day Stadium, marking the end of a project that reportedly mobilized 10,000 soldiers.
State media reported on October 29 that Kim Jong Un had visited the completed stadium on October 28 to watch a women’s soccer match. However, a video and article released covering the ceremony do not indicate that Kim appear at a building completion ceremony the same day.
