South Korean guards caught an American citizen who was trying to swim across to the North in the Han River, according to a Yonhap News Agency report.
“Yesterday afternoon at 11:55 one Arab-American male was arrested in the Gimpo area by marines after trying to enter North Korea by swimming across the Han River,” a South Korean government source told Yonhap, adding that, “the attempt is currently being investigated by the National Intelligence Service and other authorities.”
