North Korea silent on high-level meetings

DPRK do not respond to calls for talks as South Korean deadline passes

The proposed high-level talks between North and South Korea did not materialize Tuesday, after Pyongyang failed to respond by the suggested deadline.

The South’s Ministry Of Unification (MOU) proposed the high-level meetings at Panmunjom to discuss inter-Korean exchanges and topics of mutual interest, including the renewal of family reunions for those separated by the Korean War.
