North Korea invests in improved football coaching

DPRK brings in coach from Malaysia to raise performance to international standards

North Korea held a five-day course for the coaches of DPRK’s premier league football teams under the instruction of Lim Kim Chon, a FIFA instructor from Malaysia.

Taking place August 5-9, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that the course “dealt with several subjects such as the analysis of the Asian football teams participated in the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup, physical fitness of top players, tactics of (offense) and defense, collective and stonewall defense.”
