Ministerial statement reveals North Korea embassy UK’s unpaid fines

Despite surprisingly high parking fines, North Korea's bill six times less than South Korea

The North Korean embassy in London has accrued over $350,000 worth of unpaid traffic-related fines, a ministerial statement presented to the House of Commons revealed on Tuesday.

In a written statement, Mark Simmonds, parliamentary under-secretary of state for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, reported that the DPRK Embassy in London has built up debts of $333,163.12 in unpaid congestion charge since 2003, and $17,671.44 in unpaid parking tickets since last year.
