Third drone found in S. Korean territory

Recently reported UAV originally discovered in October in Gangwon Province

A third unmanned aerial vehicle believed to be of North Korean origin has been found in South Korea near the border between the two sides.

A 53-year-old man from Samcheok, located on the east coast in Gangwon province about 80 miles from the DMZ, originally found the drone in October while looking for ginseng. Only after reading about the two recently crashed drones in Paju and Baengnyeong Island – also believed to be from the North – did the man report his discovery to South Korean authorities.
