Parade coincides with visit by U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and other senior US officials

SEOUL – In a show of force against what President Park Geun-hye described on Tuesday as the “grave threat” of North Korea, South Korea hosted its largest military parade in ten years.

The display, which consisted of approximately 11,000 infantry, 190 types of ground equipment and 120 aircraft, coincided with the 65th anniversary of the foundation of the South Korean Armed forces.
