“The probability of provocations after the Day of the Sun is high,” believes South Korean Minister of National Defense Kim Kwan Jin. In the field to review unit preparedness yesterday, Kim went on, “A provocation to enhance domestic unity should be anticipated given the reality in North Korea; that is to say the power vacuum after the death of Kim Jong Il, that information is actively circulating in the markets and the presence of rampant corruption.”Kim believes that during the period from Kim Jong Il’s birthday on February 16th until Kim Il Sung’s birthday on April 15th, North Korea will not have enough time to consider provocations, but that this situation will change after the Kim Il Sung anniversary events…(Daily NK)
